Raj Giri reported that Mexican wrestling promotion AAA is dealing with some sort of payment issues with Rey Mysterio. Rey made his last appearance in December he is now about to leave the promotion due to the late pay and corporate disorganization and would return if and only if they give him guaranteed creative control.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported this week that there could be something to Konnan saying on a recent podcast that Mysterio is open to working a part-time schedule with WWE. Konnan noted that Rey couldn't go back and work full-time like Alberto Del Rio is doing. The Observer reported that sources close to the situation believe there are issues that could enable Rey to also get out of his Lucha Underground deal and return to WWE.
Rey's friends within WWE believe that he won't last for a longer duration with LU and will return to WWE again.Rey's issues are believed to be creative control and money.
